SYNOPSIS

I Want You to Live is a short film that explores the language that is used in everyday conversations about suicide. This documentary speaks to people from Toronto and brings forward the question, how are we supposed to talk about suicide? I Want You to Live features insights from Dr. Mark Sinyor, a psychiatrist who studies the media’s role in suicide contagion, as well as Adrianna Prosser, the creator and performer of a one woman play about a girl who lost her brother to suicide. With these conversations and knowledge, I Want You to Live just scratches the surface on the mental health of our city and what we can do to bring the language out from  the dark.
